A Long Line at the Border: Over 4,400 Vehicles Wait to Enter the EU
MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian border is buzzing with activity as more than 4,400 vehicles line up, eager to enter the European Union ahead of the weekend. The State Border Committee of Belarus shared this eye-opening statistic with BelTA.
At the Polish border crossing Kukuryki (Kozlovichi on the Belarusian side), a significant 360 trucks are patiently waiting to cross into Poland. In the past 24 hours, border officials admitted 58% of the usual number of trucks, indicating a potential surge in traffic.
Meanwhile, at the Latvian border crossing Paternieki (Grigorovshchina on the Belarusian side), control agencies have cleared 42% of the standard number of trucks. Currently, 120 trucks are awaiting entry into Latvia.
Near the Polish border crossing Terespol (Brest on the Belarusian side), a total of 2,950 cars and 75 buses are queuing up. The Polish side has been efficient, clearing 30% of the standard number of vehicles within the last 24 hours, ensuring a steady flow of traffic.
