Shortly after, another video captures the moment Iziah Utai's home is set ablaze, with a menacing voice declaring, "This is just the beginning."
The attacks didn't stop there. Iziah Utai's property has been a target before, with shots fired in December and his barbershop firebombed twice in May last year. These incidents highlight the escalating nature of the conflict and the dangerous game these individuals are playing.
Raptor Squad Superintendent Brad Abdy, in a bold statement, described these attacks on innocent family members as "ridiculously disgusting." He further characterized the Coconut Cartel as a "crime for hire group" that has been openly documenting their attacks on members of the Alameddine family online since December.
On Thursday, the Raptor Squad's Strike Force Halesowen took action, conducting raids across Western Sydney in an attempt to bring these violent individuals to justice. Their efforts led to the arrest and charging of a 19-year-old man in Guildford, accused of aiding the gunman who shot Matt Utai. Additionally, a 16-year-old boy, alleged to have handled the gun used in the shooting, was arrested in Auburn.
These two individuals will face the Parramatta Local Court and the Children's Court on Friday, while an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old were charged with the firebombing of Iziah Utai's home. The younger man was granted bail to appear in the Bankstown Local Court in March, and the 19-year-old faces additional charges of drug supply, with a court appearance scheduled for Friday.
